A little bit translucent, letting some of the paper white come through. I recall an old printer once telling me that he thought ink manufacturers were capable of making stronger black ink, but to do so would have made it more expensive. And black ink has to be affordable, doesn’t it? If we need to print a bunch of copies of something, we choose to print them black-only to save costs.
