shirly526 Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Hi Damien...my prints are coming back less magenta than my monitor. How is this adjusted so I can recalibrate? template is matching pretty well, it's just the magenta/red tones that are desaturated specially in skin tones. advice? thanks!
Damien Symonds Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Hi Shirly, can you tell me what screen you have, and which Spyder?
Damien Symonds Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Thanks. And are these the instructions you followed?
shirly526 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 i think so... they were from your old blog... but I just skimmed through this one and it seems pretty much the same?
shirly526 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 yes... its like the warmth is fine its just the reds, so there isnt a "setting" to adjust that...
Damien Symonds Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Ok, that's great news. So the next step is to try soft-proofing and see if it accurately represents the issue. (It might not, but we have to try).
shirly526 Posted June 28, 2016 Author Posted June 28, 2016 ok, i eill do that tomorrow once there is daylight (10pm here now). If that does not work, any other recs I might try since it might be night by you then?
Damien Symonds Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 Well, the next step is to try getting the same prints from another lab, to see if the result is the same.
