Damien Symonds Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Let's fix the issue, @tammyt. In what way does your screen differ from your prints?
tammyt Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 It's not that it's horrible or anything. I just think my prints are darker...
Damien Symonds Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 ... which means that your screen is too bright. Go ahead and recalibrate with lower brightness.
tammyt Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I just did. But when it gets to the brightness "match" stage, I had to really up my brightness to get it anywhere close to the number asked for on the screen
Damien Symonds Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 Then that means your room light is too dim. Remind me which Spyder you have?
Damien Symonds Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 And you're following my instructions here? https://www.damiensymonds.net/calibration.html
tammyt Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Not all of it. haha I looked for the elite specific page earlier and couldn't find it! I know I probably need to get new bulbs in this room... just haven't been venturing out to far these last few months. Shall I try again tonight, or wait till morning?
Damien Symonds Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 Just now, tammyt said: Shall I try again tonight, or wait till morning? It would be better to do it at night, but I bet it's REALLY late for you now!
tammyt Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Oh and I wasn't sure what kind of monitor to put so I left it at the default of wide...your instructions say most are standard... how do I decide?

tammyt Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 And do I turn the overhead lights off? So just the monitor is the only light?

tammyt Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Yep, had to take the brightness WAY down! I think I'm close enough!
