The brightness step

Your screen will flash a few colours briefly, then stop at a white screen, waiting for you to adjust the brightness.

Very often your screen will be too bright.  The yellow arrow will tell you that you need to adjust the brightness downwards:

So flick to your brightness slider, and adjust it.  Each time you switch back to the X-Rite screen, it'll take a second or two, then the yellow bar will adjust to tell you how close you are to your target.  It might take a few rounds of switch-adjust-switch-check until you hit the target:

(You might not be able to get it right in the middle of the green section.  That's ok, just get it as close as you can.)

Then press Next.
