Can you enlarge a picture take with a drone?

I have someone who has a drone shot of a football field and wants to enlarge it to somewhere in between an 8x10-16x20. They sent me 2 files.  One is 1280x853 the other is 1280x718. I cropped in PS and it looks bad. I was wondering if this is possible (I don't think it is, but I am not an expert).

Can you steer them towards a canvas print?  Canvas is more forgiving of enlargements.

Unless they can provide you with a bigger version of the photo, it won't look good I'm afraid.
