Gradient layer - solid background replacement

Hi!

I followed this direction, http://www.damiensymonds.net/preventing-banding-in-backdrops/

and edited my background.  I am afraid that the gradient lines will show even though i added the noise.

Could you please check and see if they will show on the prints or not?

Thank you!

I worked on another similar image.  After I finished, I zoomed in 100% and see some vertical lines (due to banding  by adding gradient layer even after adding noise that you do) ....

Is there anyway to fix this problem before sending the file to be printed?

Does it matter if i add the "levels layer" to adjust the exposure of overall image before or after the gradient layers?

Which is better to avoid any lines created from using gradient layer?

I am not sure how to explain how major the level adjustment was but if you can take a look at my pds file that i attached in above, that will be great! BTW, I was told by Bay Photo today that the print will probably come out with noticeable banding... I will get the print tomorrow so will see!

If I end up getting the print with lines / banding, I was thinking of converting the background color to solid black, however, since he parents are wearing black, I am thinking of adding some textures for the background.  DO you have any suggestion about the textures? I have never done this before... Thanks!
