Damien Symonds Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Hi @MelMel, what's your make and model of screen?
MelMel Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 Samsung i know that much Generic PnP-1 Does that make sense?
Damien Symonds Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 It's not enough info, sorry. I need specifics.
MelMel Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 Sorry, my tech friend sorted it for me, how do i find the stuff you need
Damien Symonds Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Usually there's a label on the back, with a model number or whatever?
Damien Symonds Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Oh gee Your friend really let you down. This is not a good screen for editing. Anyway, it should be "Standard LED".
MelMel Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 Oh for real, that actually really sux, i thought it was good. Thankyou, i did the right setting, it looks ookkkk. not so vibrant an bright on the eyes
MelMel Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 Im waiting on new prints from a new printers, should be here any day. But my old prints from a different printers the colors are pretty perfect, the screen is lighter than the photos though.
Damien Symonds Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 Then you need to recalibrate with lower brightness. Follow the troubleshooting steps of my instructions.
MelMel Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Hi again Damien, i recalibrated. I also got my prints from new printers. The prints are darker then the new recalibration. But the print was done on an uncalibrated screen. The picture on the screen looks identical to the colors in real life, so i think the recal worked. However, i wont know this until i print again, is that right?
Damien Symonds Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 No no no no no no. Your prints are fine. Calibrate again so that your screen matches them. 1 hour ago, MelMel said: But the print was done on an uncalibrated screen. This ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT MATTER.
MelMel Posted January 16, 2021 Author Posted January 16, 2021 But the prints are too dark, they don't match the real life color, sorry just trying to understand
Damien Symonds Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 Real life colour is irrelevant. Your screen has to match the prints, that is all.
Damien Symonds Posted January 16, 2021 Posted January 16, 2021 How did the recalibration go, @MelMel?
MelMel Posted January 25, 2021 Author Posted January 25, 2021 Damien iv tried another 3 times and it still isn't working. The closest i got was when i put the brightness right down to 12, the color and brightness was pretty close. Not sure what im doing wrong

You're following the wrong instructions. You should be following these.
MelMel Posted January 25, 2021 Author Posted January 25, 2021 Oh... How did I do that wrong? I will try this tomorrow. Thankyou.
