TraceySKCAN
How do I remove the coating reflection in the lenses?
Damien Symonds
The best (simple) solution I can offer is a Channel Mixer layer. Go to the Green channel, and change the values to 0, 0, +103, +10.

Damien Symonds
Cool. Now maybe gently clone the other iris across?
TraceySKCAN
First attempt at cloning the other iris into her right eye. I put the cloning layer right above the background layer. Is that correct? Now the iris is a slightly different colour. Is that to be expected with glasses or should I be able to get it more the same colour? I messed about with channel mixer but couldn't get anything that looked useful.
Damien Symonds
Oh, sorry! No, delete that layer. Use a blank pixel layer ABOVE the channel mixer layer, for the cloning. And make sure to look at the Options Bar when you choose your Clone Tool, and make sure it's set to "Sample: Current & below".
TraceySKCAN
Deleted the last attempt. LOL Blank layer above the channel mixer layer & cloned iris. So...I zoomed into the photo, and alt click the clone stamp in the centre of the iris (relatively small) and then in the other eye, I matched up the iris (and reflecting window) and tried to clone the iris without messing up the eyelids. Is that the best way?
Damien Symonds
Absolutely the best way, yes. May I see another 100% crop now?

Damien Symonds
Thanks. So now if you're game you can try cloning over that remaining white area on her top eyelid. I'd suggest using a different blank layer for it. Work with a low opacity brush. It'll be darn difficult.
