Harsh shadow on cheek

I don't think it would be possible to plausibly remove it altogether.  But yes, with this and a lot of patience, you can reduce it.

I've noticed that everything was taught completely backwards or wrong.

Now I have a stupid question: Do the photos look different on the computer when in my previous color space?

Not a stupid question at all.

In Photoshop (and other colour-managed programs like Bridge), they should look the same.  However, in non-colour-managed programs (eg Windows Viewer) they're likely to look different.

I noticed that my images looked dull once out of photoshop, I thought it was due to my screen not being calibrated. Thanks for this vital piece of advice!
