Debbie Ferguson Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Here is the link to the editing style I want to capture and a photo of mine. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=4586130834751942&set=pcb.4586131124751913
Damien Symonds Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Can you find an example photo that has some greenery in it, like yours does?

Don't upload photos that aren't your own - that's bad manners. Provide the link to an image with the desired effect, so that we can visit it. Don't link the file itself; link the page on which you found the photo, so that the photographer gets the credit and the traffic. 1

Damien Symonds Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Maybe two Hue/Saturation layers? First Hue/Sat layer on "Soft Light" blend mode, with no adjustments. Second Hue/Sat layer on "Multiply" blend mode, with the "Colorize" checkbox checked, with 30/20/+30 for the three sliders. 1
Debbie Ferguson Posted August 27, 2021 Author Posted August 27, 2021 Ok, I don't know how to do either of those things.
Damien Symonds Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 What? Of course you know how to add a Hue/Saturation layer.
Debbie Ferguson Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 I do know how to add hue/saturation but not the soft light blend mode or multiply blend mode.
Damien Symonds Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Then you need to read Module 5 of the Layers & Masks Class again.
Damien Symonds Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Then please concentrate on that for now.
Debbie Ferguson Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 Ok, I actually have never used the hue/saturation (other than playing around with what this property does) before so I will need to figure all of that out.
Debbie Ferguson Posted September 2, 2021 Author Posted September 2, 2021 So I have read over module 5 a few times and this is still not sinking in for me. Would you have a video I could watch to see this sort of edit?
Damien Symonds Posted September 2, 2021 Posted September 2, 2021 Just tell me, Debbie. What part don't you understand?
Debbie Ferguson Posted September 2, 2021 Author Posted September 2, 2021 Well all of it I guess. I understand masking
Debbie Ferguson Posted September 2, 2021 Author Posted September 2, 2021 But I just don't understand when you say to add a layer on soft light blend mode with no adjustment how I do that. Damien Symonds Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 I've deleted your recent comments to stop us from getting confused. Please show me the "before" of the above photo.
Debbie Ferguson Posted September 3, 2021 Author Posted September 3, 2021 This is the photo... I just clicked off the two hue ayers
Damien Symonds Posted September 3, 2021 Posted September 3, 2021 Then no, you've done something wrong. Read over the instructions again: On 8/27/2021 at 10:55 AM, Damien Symonds said: Maybe two Hue/Saturation layers? First Hue/Sat layer on "Soft Light" blend mode, with no adjustments. I don't know for certain, but I think perhaps you forgot to check the "Colorize" box.
Debbie Ferguson Posted September 3, 2021 Author Posted September 3, 2021 You are right... LOL. This is what I get when I checked the colorization box
