Outdoors - difficult lighting

I got a rare chance to spend some time shooting with my daughter this afternoon and had a sweet idea for an image. I generally stay studio based though so whilst we got some awesome shots the bright sunlight coming through the trees in this particular setup proved difficult conditions for me. I liked the location so thought we'd give it a go!

Are these salvageable into anything vaguely pretty? Appreciate any help!

Wahoo! What an awesome class... seriously! First look through but I know it can teach me lots. I used this image on the 'edit along' bit, so first attempt at putting your methods into practice and I have a fairly nice looking clean edit, I think??
