Replacing bckground behind hair with a NON solid colored background

Hi Damien!  I'm trying to replace this background with just an extension of the white blanket without losing her crazy hair. I tried using your tutorial but (I'm guessing) because that floorboard isn't a solid color, it's not working. Advice?

Are you receiving an error message when you try to post? Have you resized it for web already and saved as a jpeg?

I simply saved it as a jpg and it says that it's size is 1.9mb.....I'll run his web action on it and try again!

UUhhhm, I'm not sure why it stopped cropping.  I'll look into it, but this is the image.

Hmmm ... the word "closeup" should be a link in my previous comment.  Is it not showing up as one for you?

Anyway, alas, sorry, there's nothing we can do about this.  The hair and wood are too similar in colour.

Your only hope is to find another photo where the hair isn't against the wood, and do a hair swap.
