Cissypissy Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 (edited) https://www.facebook.com/RebekahAlbaughPhotographer I like the cooler style, I think this is, and still keeping nice skin tones. I just don't know how or what this style is called. Edited October 22, 2021 by Cissypissy wrong rebekah

Damien Symonds Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 Great, thanks. And can you provide an overcast/rainy photo of your own?
Cissypissy Posted October 22, 2021 Author Posted October 22, 2021 I don't have one at the moment. I thought the overcast background look was just Chicago general haze.
Damien Symonds Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 Ok, no worries. In that case can you find a link to a photo with the same lighting as yours? In shade on a sunny day? Preferably with some sandstone buildings if possible.

Damien Symonds Posted October 22, 2021 Posted October 22, 2021 It doesn't match your photo, does it? In your photo, the subject is entirely in shade.
Cissypissy Posted October 22, 2021 Author Posted October 22, 2021 These guys are entirely in the shade. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=169177841876647&set=a.167268592067572
Damien Symonds Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 It's not the same, is it? Do you have one with sky behind the subject? We have to choose the right photo combination, or you won't like what I create.
Cissypissy Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=169177818543316&set=a.167268592067572 The sky looks a little odd, but it's there. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=256728246454939&set=a.167268592067572 or this one, but maybe still overcast?
Damien Symonds Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 You're still missing the point. In your photo, there is NO light in front of the guy, apart from very vaguely reflecting light. You need to find a backlit example photo.
Cissypissy Posted October 23, 2021 Author Posted October 23, 2021 Well that may be part of what I need to know. The photo needs to be taken with light coming from the front.
