Nataliebordenave
I’m not sure if there’s a possible solution to what I’m about to ask. Is there a way to save the temporary files when opened on PS to an external drive? If so will that Improve the speed? im not even sure if I’m wording that correctly…
Damien Symonds
It is possible, but it's really not a good idea. Are you asking because your internal hard drive is too full?
Nataliebordenave
No it isn’t, but I’m truly just wondering what I can do to speed up photoshop.

Nataliebordenave
I have a Mac desktop running Monterey and Photoshop 2022. It is over 2 years old, and has 8GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 829.49GB free out of 1000GB. The last time I shut down was earlier today. I have never run a cleanup program.
Damien Symonds
The 8GB of RAM is your problem. These days Brian recommends 32GB.
