What will happen if I delete LR catalog from my hard drive?

I have these 3 items that are a bit large on my MacBook. Am I able to delete them to free up space? What will happen if I do?

I don't think I do. I've been using LR cc, not classic, so I can't even figure out if & how.

Hmmm ... I think it should be there.

I checked around in preferences but couldn't find it. I'll dig around some more and see if I'm missing something. hypothetically, if I didn't have that turned on...and I deleted those 3 items, what kind of damage would be done?

Well, you'd lose your edits on those files, wouldn't you?
