Barbiedoll5
Hi Damien I am saving a photo and under the "color" the checked box is saying Embed color profile: Display 3 I was like what the heck is this? I think it happened after I hooked up and calibrated my new Color checker Display pro??? How do I get it back to sRGB ?? Link to comment
Damien Symonds
Gee, this is a worry. Can you go to Photoshop's Color Settings, and make sure they're still on "North America General Purpose 2" the way they should be? Link to comment
Barbiedoll5
Hi Damien, checked that my setting was to North America General Purpose 2 and it was , and also now when I open a photo it says sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (8bpc). Thats correct ?? Also checking my brightness on my monitor so I went in and made sure the "automatic brightness was turned off and it was but now I am concerned looking at the at the color profile and it says Color Profile : native-100.km i Mac_21-10-22 .icc. is that what is should say?? shouldn't it be SRGB?? I've attached a screen shot? I don't now if I am getting in my own head or what .... My husband updated my computer to Mac OS Monterey 12.6 and then I had to Update Photoshop to 24.0 to get it to work and I feel like I don't know how to use it anymore! Things in PS seem all wonky, Im a mess. Also I posted some photos in the White balance check and will recalibrate my monitor when I know I have the right settings on my computer. Link to comment
Damien Symonds
No, your monitor definitely must NOT be sRGB. sRGB is a colour space for images, not for screens. Link to comment
