photoshop brushes

Hi Damien, 

I hope you can help me on this. My photoshop brushes are acting weird, when I try to draw a line it wouldn't it would just create a dot,  been trying different things but nothing is working. Thank you.

Did the reset tool, didn't work  I tested out other adjustments layers and the problem is only with the gradient tool.

I tried rasterizing the image and it worked! lol... Thanks Damien
