Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 HELP! I just spent 2 days rebranding and making my new pricing sheets with Photoshop CC and when I go to Save As, It doesn't give me the option to save as Photoshop PDF or even Adobe PDF. I did not flatten my layers. Im stuck! Im not a Photoshop expert either. I tried saving them to at least jpg but the colors got really dark, so I obviously can't use that.
Christina Keddie Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Well, first of all, you've got a color space problem. Did you use your lab's template to create these, and therefore use the color space they recommended? Or did you make these from scratch yourself? Make sure to go through this to fix your general color space problems: http://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs000.html
Christina Keddie Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 For the PDF issue -- you've created these files in 32 bits, so PDF isn't available. Again, go through the troubleshooter I linked above, and the second troubleshooter that's linked at the end of that, for how to fix your color space and bit depth problems.
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 I made it from scratch because Im not sure who I'm gonna use to print these yet. I really just mostly need them to use for emailing clients right now and they just need to be able to open them up on their phones or their own computers, so figured PDF is the most universal for viewing. Im pretty new to Photoshop so I will go to that link and fix the color space. How did you know there was a color space issue? I will fix it right now
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 I tried fixing it and I'm lost again..ugh. I'm so sorry. So the link says "what does yours say?" and I'm supposed to click on one after I changed it to Document Profile and mine is none of them....
Damien Symonds Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Right, so you click on "None of the above".
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Well its the first part of the two top choices but then it says (Linear RGB...) the rest is "color, 32 bpc"
Damien Symonds Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 I know, and it's a completely disaster!!!! What on earth possessed you? Just click "None of the above" and keep following.
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 I have no idea how I'm not working in the correct color space! I'm so mad I didn't ever check. I did click none of the above and when I started reading it was trying to convince me to use the sRGB color space but I already know to use that! lol! I will go back and keep reading all the way through to get to how to change it. lol
Damien Symonds Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Look, the 32-bit thing is much more serious at this stage. You MUST go to Image>Mode>8-bit. 1
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 oh wait never mind. I didn't click on the link to fix it. HA! Im fixing it now. !!
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) Im at the part where I'm supposed to convert to profile and that is grayed out.... Its not linking me to anywhere to help me with this part if I can't click on it. Edited February 12, 2016 by Stacy Lynne Photography
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Just went to mode like you said and it asking me to merge. do I merge or don't merge? that is now the question...
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Is merging the same as flattening? If it is, then I'm guessing the answer is "Don't merge"
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 I researched merging in here and got a funny post about it. I understand now but there was a lot of masking. This is different because there is a lot of text.
Stacy Lynne Photography Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 YAY!! I figured it out on my own!! And now its saving to PDF. Thank you!! <3 1
