Moving from Lighrtoom to ACR

Hi,

I have always imported my images using Lightroom, and edited in PS before moving them back to Lightroom for saving.

I have seen some talk from you about not using Lightroom, and after reading the first module of the raw class see it is mentioned again.

my question is what program so you use to import the images to the computer, and to cull etc. I'm not familiar with ACR, is that effectively what the program does, or are you using bridge or similar?

also, you don't have to use a program to download them to your computer. You can copy/paste right off the card, or use the windows viewer.  I prefer Bridge, but there are other options
