KimMoore
Hi there, This is a question of a different type. I am about to paint my studio & there are so many whites to pick from, being that this is something I want to do once. I have taken a picture of the four white I have got samples for, using my white balance sheet I have taken a picture of them. I'm not sure if I should trust my white balance card. Any suggestions, or where to find information about what paint colour is best for a photography studio? there is only natural light from a window in here, lights were off. Damien Symonds
You should definitely pick paint that matches your sheet. Which these samples don't.
KimMoore
Now that you have said that, I see the white balance looks ok on the sheet & really off on the paint.....
KimMoore
Would you say right hand side is an acceptable match?
Damien Symonds
Clearly it's not ...
KimMoore
The tricky part is this is Resene’s whitest paint. This may be a silly question, if I’m not shooting off the actual wall, ie I will use a wood wall & most likely backdrops. Is it super important this white matches 100%? Damien Symonds
No, as long as you're not hoping to use the wall with your white balance dropper.
KimMoore
Thank you. So if I keep using my grey card it'll work.
