You don’t need your calibration compromised by light sneaking in, so for your safest result, make your room as dark as possible. Place the Spyder Lengthen the cord, unclip the cover, then position the device as instructed: It's really important that the device is sitting flush against the screen surface. This prevents light leak. So it's best if you can tilt your screen back a bit to ensure it sits easily. (Unfortunately my setup doesn't allow tilting, so I have to hold it there like a numpty.)
