MacBook for college

Recommended Posts

You know what? I'd get a MacBook Air, the M4 version Apple is releasing tomorrow. There is a choice between a 13" and 15". Personally, 512GB HD, should be enough for general computing.  But if he is thinking about having video files and such, a 1TB HD might be better. Same thing goes for the RAM, 24GB should be enough, but with all current Apple Products, there is no upgrading after the fact. So if you think 32GB might be what you are after, then be sure to add it at the time of purchase on Apple's website. Be sure to include AppleCare and add screen protection if it's an option.

Now, again, the base Model should be fine if you are trying to save money. I would NOT go below 512GB for a main HD. 24GB should be enough for "General Computing" stuff.
