Annette Andrews Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Have read the Moire article. Any suggestions on a channel mixer combo to help fix this? Or any other things I could try? This shirt is covered in it! Thanks so much Damien.
Damien Symonds Posted December 8, 2016 Posted December 8, 2016 Hi Annette, No, this is not a channel mixer fix, unfortunately. Did you shoot raw?
Annette Andrews Posted December 8, 2016 Author Posted December 8, 2016 Yes Damien. And the Moire looks much worse on my end than what it shows in this crop.
Damien Symonds Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Good. Then you need to start the edit again, and make sure that NO sharpening is applied to the file, ANYWHERE in the workflow. Once you've re-edited it, show me the new 100% crop. 1 hour ago, Annette Andrews said: And the Moire looks much worse on my end than what it shows in this crop. No it doesn't. It's exactly the same. Make sure you only judge moire at 100% view.
Annette Andrews Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 Kicking myself - didn't realise I'd added a bit of sharpening for their proof. All sharpening removed. It's better - but still there.
Damien Symonds Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Ok. Then I'm afraid you'll need to apply just enough Gaussian Blur to get rid of the problem, masked carefully to the shirt.
Annette Andrews Posted December 9, 2016 Author Posted December 9, 2016 Ok. I will give that a go and let you know the results. It's a shocking shirt!! (and yes ... my fault for not 'mentioning' what 'not' to wear). Thanks Damien. 1
