BarbL
I'm sorry. Ever since my computer decided on it's OWN to switch to Windows 10, I'm lost. I can't screen shot...as I can't find the damn thing! Ok, click both then
Damien Symonds
Don't you have a PrtScrn button on your keyboard like the rest of us?

BarbL
My Gamma and White Point are the same as yours. Shall I change the Brightness and Room light to the same settings yours shows?
BarbL
Seriously cannot copy the screen to you. I do not know how as it is not allowing me anymore. I'm stuck now...again.

BarbL
Ok, I am at Adjust Color Temperature Preset I do not know what to do. I honestly wish I knew how to send you a screen shot. Never mind. I see now all the above had been broken down. I just am to press 'next'. Damien Symonds
What's wrong with your screenshot? All you need to do is hit the PrtScrn button, then go to Photoshop and make a new blank file, and Ctrl V to paste the screenshot into the blank file, then save it as a jpeg and upload it. BarbL
I never had to do all that before? Plus, I don't know how to use PS...and why I was attempting to calibrate so as to take your classes. Maybe I don't know enough to do that? It has calibrated. In the dark. BarbL
Immediately I can tell that my photos are still a bit warmer. I could not seem to fix that with the brightness bar.
Damien Symonds
Ok, have you read this?
BarbL
Yes, I have pretty good light At my PC
Damien Symonds
And you're SURE it's not yellow light?
BarbL
Whelp...not absolutely now.
BarbL
So, if I do not have that light that I need. What do I do? Of course, get the light...but now...the brightness on my screen is zero. I'm not sure where to go from here.
Damien Symonds
You didn't mention a problem with brightness. Only that your prints looked yellow? That's a colour problem, not a brightness problem.
BarbL
Not yellow, just warmer. I guess I am not a good judge as to the brightness? I'm trying to look at grass, faces, clothing. All of it. The faces and grass/leaves are much warmer in my photos.

BarbL
Warmer in the photo prints than on the computer. They print darker. I chose 'warm' for the color setting; perhaps it should have been something else. Edited December 30, 2016 by BarbL
Damien Symonds
Oh, so the prints ARE darker than the screen?
Damien Symonds
Remember the brightness stage of the calibration process? The screen would have looked something like this: http://www.damiensymonds.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/23s5p14.gif Or this stage a little later: http://www.damiensymonds.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/29s5p16.gif Can you remember what your brightness reading was? BarbL
It just ran through the process with different colors showing up on the screen. I don't remember that last link at all.
Damien Symonds
But you saw it in my instructions, yes?
BarbL
Yes Some of your instructions were not on my screen...I had to skip down a few. Or yours repeated.
