Lynn Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Hi Damien, Some of my photos have blocks of a magenta/pink colour in the shadows; I've never noticed this before, and it's there before I do anything to them in ACR. Is there an easy way to get rid of them? Thanks
Damien Symonds Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 As I can't see what you're talking about, it leads me to think it's a problem with your screen, or your absence of calibration, rather than your image files. Have you viewed this post on another screen? 1
Lynn Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks for the reply. I haven't but I'll have a look on my phone now. My screen is calibrated (although about a week ago the reminders started popping up to say that I need to do it again). I'm sure I've been having this problem for longer than that though
Lynn Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 I know my phone isn't the best thing to be looking for but I can't see them on there... I'm really confused now. I haven't had this issue at all until recently; is there any chance it could be related to calibrating my screen?
Lynn Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 And I know your rules state that I can only ask one question in a thread, but as it isn't an editing question, is there a way to check that I have put myself on the waiting list for the raw class? I thought I'd received an email to say that I had but I can't find anything in my inbox now. Thanks

You'll hear from me soon. 7 minutes ago, Lynn said: I know my phone isn't the best thing to be looking for but I can't see them on there... I'm really confused now. Lynn Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 It is calibrated, but it's been a bit more than a month since I last did it. This has been going on for a few weeks though but I'd never seen anything like it before.
Lynn Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Sorry for the phone photo, but this is what I see
Damien Symonds Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Right, so maybe it is a corrupted calibration profile? I'd definitely calibrate again.
Christina Keddie Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 PS: Lynn, if you're calibrated, please input that info in your profile here -- that's why Damien kept thinking you weren't calibrated. 1
Lynn Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Thanks Christina. I thought I'd filled everything in when I signed up. I'll check now
