  1. Not sure whether this one would work. I just took it today of one of my grandsons. I tried the matte. I also added a solid colour layer than masked most of it off. I also used curves, contrast, and hue & sat. Here is my attempt. Ignore the 3rd photo, uploaded in error and I've tried to delete it but it won't go away
  2. Hi Damien, I would love to know how this photographer achieves this effect. Looks like matte (I know, vomit lol) but I think there's something else....can't put my finger on it Here is the link
  3. I signed up for the levels Deluxe. I applied the cooling filter at 50%
  4. Hmmm. Ok I lightened the baby. He looks quite bright to me but it's evening here and when I calibrated, I did so in afternoon light. And I'm still learning lol. I was thinking of upgrading to the Raw Deluxe class.
  5. There was a bit of a shadow in the foreground so I lightened it a bit. I know the backdrop needs a bit of work along with the wrap he is in. I think the rest is good?
  6. Hi Damien, I photographed a baby that was so jaundiced he was orange! I have completed my raw processing and now am trying to fix his colour in photoshop. I am using using colour balance as well as reducing the saturation. I've also tried to use curves. Do you have any suggestions as to the best way of obtaining a normal skin tone for him? PS Not all of the photos have his sister in them. For the photos of him alone, do you recommend using the colour saturation/luminance slides in raw as a starting point, then finishing in Photoshop? This image is SOOR. Thanks!!!!
  7. I ordered some prints from a reputable printer. They are considerably darker than my screen. I have not calibrated yet. The printer specifies to submit in RGB colour space. I use sRGB as you had recommended previously. I use a Mac. When I go into my system preferences/display/colour there is a list of different colour space choices. When I switch from sRGB the colour on my screen is much closer to my prints. I'm totally confused so just trying to figure this out before I actually calibrate. If I calibrate but remain in sRGB and my printer wants an RGB profile, my prints are never going to match my screen are they? And when I calibrate, I thought that the process was to match what I see on the screen to what I see on the print? I've read your instructions for a couple of different calibration devices (I haven't purchased one yet) and I don't understand how the screen gets matched to the prints
  8. Oh my yes there is a flatten step. I feel like an idiot lol. Thanks for your help
  9. I don't think so, I don't remember this happening before when I used them. How do i see the steps of the action to verify?
  10. Hi Damien, When I run an action, the rest of my layers disappear. How do I get them back? I have a Mac laptop running Yosemite and Photoshop cc2015. It is under 2 years old, and has 8GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 114GB free out of 250GB. The last time I shut down was more than 24 hours ago. I run a cleanup program about once a week.
