So a bad monitor profile can cause images to look wrong in some programs but right in others? Unfortunately, I have been displaced from my office since my husband started working from home. I just moved my computer to a different room and this started happening. I was hoping I somehow changed a setting as I would rather not recalibrate for this space only to move it back again.

I am not sure what happened but a setting was changed somewhere that is affecting my colors. My colors in ACR and when saved as a jpeg are correct. When viewed in Bridge and Photoshop they are terribly discolored. I cannot for the life of me figure out what setting I changed. Would you be able to help me trouble shoot? I know screenshots are not color managed but I am attaching them to help show the color variation. Thanks!

Attempted a backlit studio session. Used bounced speed light in front of her to get some light in her eyes and on her face. Damien pointed out the crunchy hair and said I needed to adjust my lighting. Do you have any input on where to start? Thanks!

I hope that with your classes I am on the right track

You mean teach someone to edit as I would?

I had spinal surgery a little over a year ago. The sessions and subsequent hours at the computer editing take a huge toll on me. I was hoping to outsource some of my editing to save the wear and tear on my neck

Any chance you have a list of Damien approved/taught retouchers to refer too lol

That is what I thought. My edits vs hers. (and I know my skin needs work) Her blacks looks crushed, but it makes mine look flat in comparison.

Hey Damien - not sure if this is the correct place to post. I am outsourcing a gallery and the retoucher edits in AdobeRGB (but can convert to srgb upon export). I know you always say Adobe RGB is a no no. Should I find a different retoucher ?

Thanks for the help

Would love some input on the best way to remove Dad's grass stains on his pants and possibly diminish the wrinkles in his shirt

Thanks Damien. I figured as much. I have seen you work wonders on green and purple glares. Thank you for the reply. Enjoy your family time!

Hey Damien. Finishing my last session of the year and of course I get terrible glare of Dad's glasses. Can I ask your recommendation for the best fix for this? Thanks a million. Hope you are enjoying time with family.

I have never used the channel mixer before. It works amazingly... when you have Damien Symonds giving you the exact numbers you need lol

No I have not done that yet. I was trying to get my raw processing on the right track

Recalibrated. Images are a close match to prints. Tried the vivid workflow. Praying I am taking a step in the right direction and not 2 steps back. Thanks again

So if I need to turn the screen's brightness down, then how do I handle it not meeting its lum target of 70 minimum. Sorry if I am missing something. I have been at this all day and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Thanks again

OK thanks. I dad to up my brightness to 25 to get my lum in target range (78). AI put in all three overhead lights. I think my room is bright enough for my 10x10 space. I feel the color is acceptably close. Computer still seems brighter than my print. Any tips on how to proceed from here. Thanks so much!
