  1. Thank you Brian! I will start putting some away for a new computer. I figured the problem was me 😵‍💫 why order 2 kits for 4 16gb sticks vs the kit that comes with 2 32GB sticks?
  2. I have a PC desktop running Windows 11 and Photoshop up to date. It is over 3 years old, and has 16GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 592GB free out of 915GB, and it runs a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. The last time I shut down was just before posting this thread. I run a cleanup program about once a week.
  3. 592 of 915gb free on the hard drive
  4. Hey Brian, I need to add more RAM to my computer before I go office space on it! I've spent the last 3.5 hours trying to prepare 27 files to send to a client. I've made it through 15 and rebooted...twice. My clients are waiting way longer than they should because I can't get my machine to do it's job. Probably because I didnt buy something good enough in the first place. Thanks for the help!
  5. Thanks again for all your help and knowledge!! What is the average life expectancy of video cards and computers? The one I have is 3.5 years old
  6. SOLVED!!!!!!! https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/acr-gpu-faq.html step 6 appears to have solved my problem!!! HALLELUJAH!
  7. Maybe it's only money if you have a lot of it?! Haha At any rate, I found that sniffer file, but now NVIDIA won't show the Select Graphics Processor drop down. Also, I can't find the camera raw exe file anywhere! Thanks for all your time and help with this!!!
  8. and now I have this lovely error I should have mentioned earlier- I am using Bridge 12.0.4 because the most up to date version of Bridge was buggy in the past. Both versions are listed. Maybe that is also causing some conflict?
  9. no way would the hubby be in for dumping $1k into this computer or for buying a new pc either 🙅‍♀️ 😆
  10. Did this in NVIDIA, but no sign of sniffer.exe in the drop down???
  11. well thank goodness! I have a useable screen now!!! YAY! Camera Raw Preferences shows the same error
  12. Here is where my monitor has been plugged in
  13. I hope it's an easy fix! Here is a photo of the back of my tower. In this one the monitor is unplugged so I could get it turned enough for a good angle
  14. And now something awful happened. I must have disabled my Intel display adapter because my monitor cannot be brought out of Power Save Mode (Dell u2412m). I've tried rebooting several times. F8, win+ctrl+shift b, ctrl alt delete, unplugging the monitor, etc 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
  15. Hi @Brian, Thanks for all the help! I went to dell and there was nothing to update there. I did go to the Studio Drivers link you provided and downloaded that. When I go to Camera Raw Preferences the same error is there. When I look at my Display Adapters it lists the same Intel and Nvidia as before as well...
  16. Hi Brian, I keep running into this error when using camera raw -GPU Graphics Acceleration not supported-, but I can't figure out how to turn it off!!! It's a Dell XPS 8930. I wonder if I need to disable the Intel and only use the NVIDIA? Both appear to be up to date... Thanks!
  17. I have a PC desktop running Windows 10 and Photoshop 23.5.3. It is over 2 years old, and has 16GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 607GB free out of 915GB. The last time I shut down was earlier today. I run a cleanup program about once a week. Dell XPS 8930 Hey Brian, I am currently running photoshop 23.5.3 because the update was buggy, but what is perplexing me the most is I cannot open Bridge 13.0.1, so I've reverted back to 12.0.3. Have you heard of anyone else having this problem?
  18. Hey Brian, I've started having a heck of time focusing with my Canon L 24-70 f/2.8 II. Is it worth investing in FoCal to try to get things right??? I use a Canon 6d mark ii. For kicks, I dug out my 12 year old nifty 50 and it was very sharp, so I'm pretty sure it's a lens issue. Thanks!
  19. I went ahead and ordered both! 🙊 I always learn so much no matter what I ask - I appreciate it! I've often wondered why I didnt go Nikon right out of the gate (as of now I've invested too much $ in canon to switch, though at some point I know I'll have to go mirrorless) as I've heard it has a higher dynamic range. Thoughts on canon vs nikon dynamic range?
  20. Thank you! I know you shoot Nikon, but these should work with any brand, correct?
  21. Hey Brian, I've got some stubborn prints on the front of one of my lenses and my daughters glasses wipes keep calling out to me. I just dont know if they are safe to use on camera lenses? I've only used the microfiber clothes in the past.
  22. You have been very helpful Brian! Thank you! I did that optional update and things didn't get any worse. They seem to be fine, but I've said that before in this journey! LOL If it hits the fan again I'll start with Adobe. Thanks again!!!
  23. should I even bother with this?
  24. Is there a place I can check for a graphics card update? Thanks for all your help with this. It is so frustrating!
