I also made sure show thumbnails was checked under here in the control panel

The only thing I have done is open the folder, go to the view tab, click options, go to the view tab under options and make sure always show icons never thumbnails is unchecked.

The computer came with a certain amount of space on OneDrive. I've never looked at it because I back up to code42 (crashplan). I am almost certain the red x's on the screen shot are because they are not backed up to onedrive.

I have a PC desktop running windows 10 home and Photoshop cc. It is under 6 months old, and has 16GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 699GB free out of 915GB. The last time I shut down was last night. I run a cleanup program about once a month.

For background information--I had sky overlays spread across a couple external hard drives. I wanted them all in the same folder, so I just created a folder on my desktop to put them in before moving them off again. Not the most efficient way to get organized. I noticed the thumbnails and...well... this is going to be a learning discussion.

Over a year later and the time has come!! With then end of Windows 7 and knowing I can't upgrade the RAM in my laptop (I only have 8 GB) I absolutely need a desktop. Any recommendations for $1k-$1,500 range? How does this one look? My pc has been lagging lately. Everything from opening a word document, photoshop, the internet, etc, it stalls. I was curious to see what was running in the background and if cleaning that up would help things run smoother.

I definitely need to get more comfortable using image processor!! I did find an old folder of jpeg images (circa early 2000's) from years ago on my laptop that I want to move to my EHD, but if I am understanding correctly, just copying and pasting them over to the EHD should not cause loss of quality? I should just print them off already !!

My external is a little over 2/3 full, so I will get a new one! Thank you!! In the mean time, copying the cr2 files I need to edit to my laptop to edit, then saving them to my external won't damage them? It's continually opening and saving jpegs that causes degradation correct?

I'm using an old Dell Inspirion 5720, if that's helpful...
