LOL, no, I won't be a moron and start this with sessions needing to be edited, but I stay busy.. sooooo. It's not a big deal; honestly, everything works fine. The only reason I wanted to upgrade to PS 2024 is because of the AI feature where hands, feet, and the harder stuff can be easily edited out. Especially the sessions where parents help spot a newborn, and we have hands to edit out. It would make editing go smoothly. I am not a fan of the AI world but it's here. Thank you for the links!

Oh, I see. Can't run the new OS on the 2023 PS? So if I update, just update both? Sorry if I misunderstood.

Thank you. Now, I hope the new 2024 PS holds up

I have a 32GB MiniMac M2 Pro chip. Will this be okay to upgrade? I mean, I've had this MiniMac for just three months, and there is already an upgrade!
Brian, any issues that you know of?

OK...learn something new everyday!! Apparently this is a macOS Ventura Bug, so it will not work on ANY HDs, regardless of brand!
Believe it or not, this is probably a good thing. When you Drag & Drop, what you are essentially doing is "Cutting and Pasting" or moving the file, which is deleting the original as it copies. So while it is convenient to have that visual confirmation that you "got everything," if something were to go wrong during the Data Transfer, you're screwed.
So for now, if your WD Drive that you are reformatting, make sure it is setup for macOS Extended (Journaled) and it's formatted. Then all you should be able to do is find your drive you want to copy, open it and do a Command+A which will select all the files. Then right-click and select Copy, then go to the destination drive and right-click and select "Paste." This will copy the files and will allow you to make sure that everything copied over and is fine, THEN you can do a select all on the originals and delete them.

Shit, I returned it lol Thinking it was the brand. Well this sucks, I plug in my camera card reader to transfer raw files to the external because the D850 files are huge. I never place the raw files on my mac just if only i'm working on that session. SO now i have to directly place the raw files on my mac ?? ughh Do you know of another way? Thank you for the research!

Hey Brian, I have the new Mac mini and always used WD external hard drives. I found out that Western Digital is compatible, but Apple does not allow drag and drop feature as of now. This is essential for me as I'm transferring files from the old external to the new external drive for the new Mac. It's due to Ventura, is what they told me. What other hard drive do you suggest for my drive to be able to backup and where I am able to drag and drop files from the desktop to the new external? Thank you !

I know I have wb issues, I did have your raw class at one point but I had such a hard time with it. I still use the gray scale every shoot though, and it has helped a lot compared to before using it.

I'll take it.

OK, I calibrated at 60 native d50 and three out 4 prints match better. The light pink image not so much. The brightness is at 4 ticks .
-
They feel white, the lamps covers are white and the covers on the ceiling fan are crystal clear. So everything is white.
-
they are 6500k daylight
-
I have those same bright white light ( 4 of them) in the ceiling fan as well. The brightness seems better but the screen is still cool.

I have 4 bright white bulbs around me , but without it bouncing off the screen. Anyway to work around that?
-
Screen still toto bright at 60 native and d55 ? Do a custom luminance and d50?
-
OK thank you, I need to recalibrate with a different native screen too bright and cool.
