Bek Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 I believe I have sorted that out now & its in sRGB 8bit...........

Bek Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 Oh no!! I suck at this stuff! Ive added a screen shot of an image I opened to show the colour space its in now. Is that still wrong?
Samantha LaRue Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I know that says sRGB, but the color looks off. How did you change it?
Damien Symonds Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 18 hours ago, Bek said: Okay Im just trying to change the colour profile now. Ive gone into edit/colour settings & changed to Northern American ......... & this is the panel I am seeing which is differnet to the one in the example. Is this all correct though? Oh, this is really really really really really bad. Your image has your monitor's profile. Oh, phew, I see you've fixed it.
Bek Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Is this the correct way & all the settings as they are here, they are how it should be? Can I just pay you guys to edit these images for me, LOL ......my head is hurting

Damien Symonds Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 But as Sam said, it looks awfully dull. Can you post the actual photo now?
Bek Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Oh yay I got something right finally, lol.........(wish I had your mind with all this) Okay, so back to the original image of trying to remove the bookshelf out.........should I be using the lasoo tool to outline the subjects that I want left as they are? Which lasoo tool would be best?
Damien Symonds Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Yes, the polygonal lasso tool is what I used.
Bek Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 okay so from there I go around the people in the image up to & around the exterior of the image & then add the gradents?
Damien Symonds Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Correct. Follow the shape of the people, but don't go too close to them.
Damien Symonds Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Right. Then tweaking it until it matches the existing background as closely as possible.
Bek Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Hi Damien...........okay I have tried it alot but still struggling to work it all out. So here is a screen shot of step 1..........which gradient should I be choosing?
Damien Symonds Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I generally start with a bright rainbow-type one. Have I shown you this article?
Bek Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 Oh thanks for that link, I had the other one for gradient which was confusing me a bit. I'll go over this one now
Bek Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 Hi, I tried that & I still cant quite get it. Am I getting this right so far? This is where I get stuck, after this second bit.
Damien Symonds Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Good! Now keep tweaking the gradient so that the colours match the existing colours down the right-hand side of the subjects as closely as possible. The better match you get down there, the easier your masking task will be.
Bek Posted March 10, 2016 Author Posted March 10, 2016 Sorry to sound dumb but Im stuck on the next part? How do I mask it all now so that it all looks natural the way you made it look?
