PhOtO JuNkie Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 My images look different in iMac Preview than they do in Photoshop CC. It is a slight difference but it could be the problem I am having with color casting. In Photoshop the image looks good (vibrant) but when I pull it up via iMac Preview, it looks a little dull (some of the color is missing). What could be happening here? Anyone else going thru this?
Damien Symonds Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Preview isn't colour-managed. Ignore it. Only browse your images with Bridge.

PhOtO JuNkie Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 Sorry for the delay - I've been having trouble with my images not looking like the prints. I just purchased a i1 Display Pro. I'm hoping it corrects the problem. (fingers crossed).
Damien Symonds Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Which calibrator did you have before? In what way aren't they matching?
PhOtO JuNkie Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 I had the SpyderPro 4. It seems like there was a color cast on my prints (greenish/gray tint). I just purchased a 27" iMac pro retina display 5k about 4 months ago.
Damien Symonds Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Well, here are the instructions for when the i1 arrives: https://www.damiensymonds.net/cal_i1DP_mac.html
PhOtO JuNkie Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 Why????? I'm a headshot photographer and it is vital my prints look like the images I edit.
Damien Symonds Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Oh yes, I get that! I understand completely. You just ... have a shit computer with a shit screen, that's all.
PhOtO JuNkie Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 I guess to each his own. I actually love mac's.
Damien Symonds Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Well, let's hope you can get a calibration that you love.
