Summer Michelle
Hey guys... I am exporting images from light room at 300 ppi and 100% quality and the file sizes are still only between 3 and 4 MB... The photographer I edit for says the files should be 8-9 MB... I am clueless as to what I am doing in the export process to cause the files to be "half" the size they should be to give to her brides.... Would love help... I looked around the site and didn't find anything... Thanks bunches!
Damien Symonds
What are their pixel dimensions? That's the important part. Some very important info here: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2015/08/about-jpeg-file-size.html

Summer Michelle
Hi Guys! Sorry, I had my 10 year Anniversary and went MIA.... That's no web-ready size I've ever seen. Something is badly wrong here.
Summer Michelle
Damien, all of my web readies are that big actually.... I use a Facebook action in the Erin Toles paintbox set...
Damien Symonds
No, this is CATASTROPHICALLY bad. 3000 is NOT Facebook size. The maximum Facebook size is 2048. This is the action to use. Delete the dangerous Tole one immediately.
Damien Symonds
Have we meandered from the original topic? When you first posted this question, you weren't talking about web images, were you?
Summer Michelle
So, the height is 2048... the width is 3132... this is for a horizontal image and 2048 with a width of 1387 for a vertical... Is that still bad?
Damien Symonds
No, it's 2048 for the longest edge.
Damien Symonds
Regardless of orientation, if you know what I mean. 2048 high for portrait images, or 2048 wide for landscape images.
