Run the program

Double-click the exe file, or launch it from the Start menu. It will immediately open and begin scanning your computer:

The scanning might take a few seconds, or a few minutes, depending on the size, speed and age of your computer. The longer it takes, the more it suggests that you really need the information it is going to provide, so be patient while it does its work.

When it’s finished scanning, it will bring up a “map” of your computer:
