Renski00 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Hi D, Ive read some posts about changing backgrounds, but still not to sure im understnding how to tackle it..wanted to post my pics, and ask if you could advise best method to extend background please. TIA
Kim Howells Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 In this situation, I would "place" the image with the background over the portrait. I would move it so the wall goes to the left hand edge of the frame. Then add a layer mask, invert it, and get in nice and close (100%) to carefully mask around the left hand person. No quick fix unfortunately.
Renski00 Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 thank you, was hoping there would be a quick fix. what about shadows?
Damien Symonds Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Thankfully, the shadows are falling on the other side, the side where you don't need to replace the wall.
Kim Howells Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I'd love to see a bit more room around them, instead of it being cropped in so tightly to the sides. I would also blend in that bit of backdrop where it changes from dark to light towards the left. 1
Renski00 Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks, what is the best way to blend better? i have never played with changing backgrounds before
Damien Symonds Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Well, by painting on the mask with a low-opacity brush.
