No, I mean the actual photo!  You did the screenshot just fine.  I'm talking about how you put the photo of the lady into the template.

Also, it looks like you added the text to the photo before you added the photo to the template?  That's very bad.  Assemble all the items in the template.

Did the printer give you specific advice about text?  Its colour, I mean?  It's a tricky matter.

I have a two page spread I now have to divide and place onto the one page. Some of the pages cross the midline so I have merged all the layers and copied one side then the other and pasted it onto the one page template. This is so very confusing at this point.

Okay, what I think I can do is copy images and text separately on those pages as layers.

you can make new layers, and file>place appropriately.
