SueR
I'm finally ready to go thru my classes and refresh my memory on editing but my old computer crashed and I can't figure out the correct settings. I did look at your site but I'm still not sure I have it correct since I am getting a message when I take a photo from ACR to PS. Here's my screen shots. ACR I read only assign a profile (I don't think I have this correct - tried to put working serge but it won't take it??) - but wasn't sure what to put in the convert if anything. This shows up when I take from ACR to PS Help please.
Damien Symonds
Your ACR settings are perfect. So are your Photoshop settings. If you edit a photo in ACR then press "Open Image" to take it directly into PS, you definitely shouldn't be getting this message. Can you show me a screenshot of the photo in ACR? SueR
Thank you! I thought I had changed it earlier but this fixed it! One to read about editing from the start, RAW.

For a change to stick, two things must happen: You must have only ONE file open at the time of the change; You must open the raw file into Photoshop afterwards. I'd say you didn't fulfill one or both of those.

SueR
Hey Damien - back at this editing setting up thing.... I want to make sure my color space is correct before I get back into things: This is what I have right now: My only question is photo 2 and 4 - 2 still says RGB at the top left and photo 4 say don't color manage this document (is that correct?). It's been so long I'm starting over again and I can't remember what this all said before.
Damien Symonds
You don't ever need to go into the "Convert to Profile" or "Assign Profile" windows. Ignore them. This one is correct of course: 10 minutes ago, SueR said: For this one ... 10 minutes ago, SueR said: My only question is photo 2 and 4 - 2 still says RGB at the top left and photo 4 say don't color manage this document (is that correct?). ... read: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/11/colour-modes-vs-colour-spaces.html
