Jackie Matthews Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Someone has just asked a question on a fb group I follow and I'm wondering why you would use the ctrl + b for a colour balance adjustment, ctrl + l for a levels adjustment etc etc. I was told that these are destructive adjustments. Is this correct? I'm not sure why you would want to do destructive editing but I just wondered what they were used for Thanks
Damien Symonds Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Correct. They apply the adjustments directly to the pixel layer. Very bad. What smart people do is go to Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts, and assign those shortcuts to add adjustment layers instead. Ctrl L to add a Levels adjustment layer, and so on. I wish Adobe would make that the default, you know?
Jackie Matthews Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 It would be easier if they did! Thanks for the info though 1
