Replacing background (low key)

Hi Damien!   I followed this tutorial  https://www.damiensymonds.net/preventing-banding-in-backdrops/

and edit the attached photo.  As you can see the attached photo, I see vertical lines (right side of the dad). 

I even increased the noise from 5% to 13% but the banding still bothered me and I am sure it will show when i print it, correct?

Could you please let me know how to fix this?

May I also see a screenshot?  So I can see your layers panel and stuff?

Also, why is this photo such a weird shape?  Have you cropped?

Yes, I cropped it into 8x10 after I saved psd file and flatten.  Here is the screenshot of the layers panel.

Do you see the lines towards the right side of the backdrop?

Also, as you can see the mask / layer, I wanted to keep the bottom of the paper where it shows the shadow.  Would this create the banding issue as well?

No.

This is just an issue with your screen, not the file.  Your file is fine, and should print fine too.

In some cases it can, but not the way you've done it here.  You've done it nice and safely.

Just to mention something which I'm sure you already know ... when you're preparing the file for print, make sure you flatten the layers before cropping and sharpening.
