fwendly Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Hey Damien - not sure if this is the correct place to post. I am outsourcing a gallery and the retoucher edits in AdobeRGB (but can convert to srgb upon export). I know you always say Adobe RGB is a no no. Should I find a different retoucher ?
Damien Symonds Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Unfortunately it's not as simple as just "converting to sRGB on export". That's when the clipping happens. I strongly suggest making it clear that you won't pay for the work until you've seen the files, and if there is clipping, you won't pay at all.
fwendly Posted March 10, 2020 Author Posted March 10, 2020 That is what I thought. My edits vs hers. (and I know my skin needs work) Her blacks looks crushed, but it makes mine look flat in comparison.
fwendly Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 Any chance you have a list of Damien approved/taught retouchers to refer too lol
fwendly Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 I had spinal surgery a little over a year ago. The sessions and subsequent hours at the computer editing take a huge toll on me. I was hoping to outsource some of my editing to save the wear and tear on my neck
Damien Symonds Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Right ... but you do know HOW to edit a punchy image, yes?
fwendly Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 You mean teach someone to edit as I would?
Damien Symonds Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 No, I'm just checking to make sure you know how to edit.
fwendly Posted March 16, 2020 Author Posted March 16, 2020 I hope that with your classes I am on the right track
Damien Symonds Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 The photos you posted above (yours) look like SOORs. They don't seem to have any Levels work done at all?
Damien Symonds Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Do you need to run your eye over the "Artistic colour embellishments" module again?
