Canvas Size #1

IMPORTANT: There are two “Canvas Size” steps in this action. Make sure you’ve chosen the first one, just after “Unsharp Mask”.

You know the drill by now. Select it, then “Record Again”:

This is where we add the border. The default settings are 40 pixels:

In both fields, enter double your border thickness. In my example, my border was 25px, so I enter 50 in both fields.

One more thing. By default, the action gives you a white border. But of course it can be any colour you like. To choose a different colour, simply click on the little swatch at the bottom of the Canvas Size dialog:

Please note, this option might not be available in very old versions of Photoshop.

Once you’ve changed the numbers and colours as needed, press OK.
