meris
Taking photos on a grey bg, I get posterisation out of PS. They look OK while in PS and are being edited, but if you save in PS and reopen, you see it. What is the cause, and how do you prevent it?

meris
sRGB raw-> sRGB jpg in LR Then sRGB jpg -> sRGB jpg in PS What is the workflow to prevent this, so that I can just edit, save, and send to printers? Damien Symonds
For pete's sake, there should be NO jpg files in your workflow.
meris
I produce clean jpg for selection, and do final edits. I wouldn't make tiff for every file
Damien Symonds
Then I can't help you. Your shitty quality results are your own fault.
Damien Symonds
If you insist on using Lightroom, DO NOT save as jpeg. Just use plain "Edit in Photoshop" to transfer your photos. There is no role for jpeg here. And when you do use TIFF, please let me know if you see the same posterization problems.
