Hi Damien, I wanted to let you know I finally went to Adobe and did a chat with them and got things sorted out. As you had suggested, it was LR that was the culprit. I just didn't know where to go to see them :(. Anyway, all is good finally! Thanks for everything !

Hi Bryan, I have asked Damien this question but he doesn't have an answer but maybe you do. My iCloud storage says I am 90% full but when I go to check it, it says there is really nothing there. How can this be? What do I do ? Help! Thanks

Thank you! I know, eh? Have put message to Bryan to see if he has any further thoughts. Frustrating to say the least.

Yes, I went there and I don't have anything there, except for maybe 4 sky pics. Nothing else. I do use Backblaze to back up, could this be part of the problem?

Hi Bryan, I have a 21.5" iMac, Big Sur, 16 GB computer. I no longer have LR. I use Backblaze to back up my computer. When I go into Creative Cloud, my cloud storage says it is at 90%. Any idea on a) what is causing this and b) what can I do to get this number lower without paying for more storage? Thanks so much.

Thanks Damien! I'll give it a try. Am loving going through this course for about the 4th time and each time, I get a little nugget to help me. Next up...RAW. Thanks again

Not sure how to get the LR junk out. Shall I ask Bryan for help on this?
-
Hi Damien, should I ask Bryan about this?
-
I don't have LR on my system now, though.

Yes.

Just sent you screen shot

Hi Damien, I don't seem to be able to get a screen shot right now. I go to Creative Cloud, Preferences, General Tab. There it tells me my cloud storage which is at 89%.

Hi Damien, I notice when I went to Creative Cloud to make sure Auto-updates is off (it was), I am at 89% of Creative Cloud capacity. I have a 21.5" iMack, 16GB RAM, Big Sur. What is making my CC so high? (I am not a techie). Thanks.

Ok. I've got it now. Thank you so much I'm not sure if I should ask you or Damien....Should I be using 8 bit or 16 bit for Adobe Camera Raw? And what colour space is recommended ? sRGB? Adobe RGB? Thanks so much. -

Hi Brian, I use a 4TB WD for my TM backup. It backs up everything (not sure what you meant by normal data files). My internal Mac drive is 1 TB and at the moment I have 226GB available (working on that!). What do you mean by Main Data External HD? What do I back up on this and how would I go about doing it? I have Big Sur and understand CCC could clone the main ext. HD to my 3rd HD. Same size as Main Data External HD? Thanks again for your help. -
Hi Brian, I have a 21.5" iMac (2017) and am presently working at getting my photos off of the computer HD and onto EHD (ie culling). Right now I am backing up with Time Machine onto WD - 4 TB. I have 1.67 TB available. I want to clone that my WD back up to another EHD. I have G-Drive USB-C (but I also have a G-utilities icon on desk top and I don't know the difference between the two). The G-Drive USB says 5.34 TN available - capacity 6TB, and the G Utilities says I have 3.94 GB available - capacity 4.08 GB. I was going to use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone my WD to one of my G Drives or Utilities, but they won't accept my WD because it is being used by Time Machine. Sooo...1. How do I back up my computer without using Time Machine? Can it be done automatically? 2. What do I do with these G Drive/Utilities EHD's? Thank you so much for your help. I've been reading stuff on-line but to be frank, I don't really understand it

Thanks Brian. My Pictures is a Folder and then within that a bunch of subfolders. I understand about a "bigger" camera (more megapixels) and how that could stall my computer. Won't do that, until I upgrade computer. Can't thank you enough for all the info. you have provided me

Thanks for all your information Brian. To be clear on my end: 1. 3 separate copies means: one on computer, two on external backups with one of those off=site? 2. Taking photos off of "Pictures" would mean copying to Mac HD and to External HD? 3. I hear you about the 'big camera, whoa etc". Makes me want to get a mirrorless but to be honest I'll probably continue with the D750 until it conks out. I can't thank you enough for your detailed answers. Cheers!

Hi Brian, I have a 21.5" Mac, 2017, 16 Gb memory, graphics Radeon Pro 555 2 GB, 3 GHz intel Core i5 processor - Big Sur, vers. 11.3 1. I have been using the slot in back for my SD. card. Is this ok, or should I get a separate card reader? If so, is there a card reader you would recommend that includes SD, XQD and CFexpress - all of them? 2. I also have been using "Pictures" for my photos. It looks like my HD might be getting towards the full end of 1 TB (318 GB left). I have one WD 4TB backup which is on Time Machine (my other one quit). I also use Backblaze. I think my photos should be on more than one backup to free up my HD. Would you recommend Lacie backups? Size? (BTW, I have a Nikon D750 - 24mp camera). Also, I have PS 2021. Thanks so much for your help. I'm trying hard to get more up to speed technically.
