  1. The original photo is larger so I cropped it using the crop tool to 1200x180 at 72px/in Image Size function says 1200x180 72
  2. Another photo to be used as a cover photo 1200x180px 300 / 0.2 / 0
  3. Sorry my new Wordpress one largest an image can be is 1024x1024px
  4. image size 14.222 inches (1024x1024px) Sharpening 500 / 0.2 / 0 Am I far off the mark?
  5. Why is Firefox the only browser to use? What's wrong with the others? I use a mixture of Safari and Firefox.
  6. I have been watching a few of his tutorials and he photographs people against a grey background so he can add textures behind the people on overlay and mask it off the people. When he brings in the texture its in colour and he goes to image > adjustments > desaturate to make it black and white would we use your action to make it black and white?
  7. Oh I see. Well Glyn didn't edit the photo the way you have taught us he did raw processing half way through his editing by using the camera raw filter button in photoshop he used Colour Look Up tables which I again hadn't heard of are they any good? He didn't do any levels editing just used the topaz Clarity plug in. Strange he doesn't edit like you have taught us considering he is a well known photographer with published books and attends photography shows and conventions.
  8. I was watching 'Complete Male Portrait Retouching Workflow' by Glyn Dewis and he mentioned and showed how to use the Topaz Clarity plugin. I looked it up after and it says it is 'Topaz Clarity is the modern version of the Contrast slider, with better technology and better results. It enhances local contrast, which gives your image crisp details, better tonality, and "sharper" features without losing highlights or shadows.' Would this be secondary contrast? It's also $49.99 has anyone else heard of it?
  9. Wasn't sure which category this fitted best into. When you retouch a portrait of a person or a castle for example what things do you look out for and remove/clone/heal?
  10. I have read your two tutorials Achieving a white background in your portraits and the advanced one replacing a background around hair and have a question. When I did my canvas and had to change the background from either a coloured pattern or a coloured background I used an adjustment colour fill layer and masked all around the person sometimes adding extra layers and using blend modes. I'm not questioning you just curious why you use a different method in your tutorials to my canvas method and when would you use either method in a situation over another method?
  11. Has anyone heard any news about the new Mac OS Sierra supporting Adobe Creative Cloud 6 Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge, Acrobat etc? Tried looking online but couldn't find anything. Wish I hadn't upgraded from Mac OS Mountain Lion to El Capitan wish I could go back my 2012 iMac is a little slower now.
  12. Long story short went for a trial day at an agency and was given the froosh AI logo, bigger text and asked to make it wrap around the bottle like the attached. How would you make an AI logo wrap around the bottle? How would you make the text wrap around the bottle? How would you replicate the shadows? I was also asked to change the bottle wrap colour to a PMS colour which I did by making a solid colour layer and changing it to the PMS colour, then clipping it to the 3D label wrap. Was this right?
  13. i think I may have confused myself when you are adjusting a contrast and brightness part of a photo you use the quick mask to select the area them levels. When using a fill colour you select the colour then use the brush tool to paint on the photo. When is it ok to select a portion of an image and when should you use the brush tool to paint on the mask after making the adjustment layer?
