Good! Now keep tweaking the gradient so that the colours match the existing colours down the right-hand side of the subjects as closely as possible. The better match you get down there, the easier your masking task will be.

This is a common glitch. The Spyder seems to get confused when the gamut gets close to full sRGB. Ignore the message, and press on with "Normal".

So I wouldn't need to do uninstall of spyder pro though correct?

Yes, I would reset defaults first.

Don't feel bad. This kind of edit is insanely hard.

Maybe this? But don't expect miracles.

Well done!

Ok, great. Well, this'll be nice and easy.
Since you said your scanner is ancient, go ahead and photograph them. Let me know when you've done so, and we'll discuss the print steps.

Lol, well, measure them!!!! You can't print a 6x4, for example, if a foot is 6.5" long! You need to plan this.

The Ultrasharps are great.
If you see a variance in price that you don't understand, check the gamut. The more expensive ones might be wider gamut.

At this point I need a bit more info. What size print/s do you intend to get?

Thank you Damien. I will make the stretch. Would you recommend the Spyder 5 Elite over the X-Rite i1Display Pro? Or should I just get the cheaper of the two?
Both are great products, and I feel the X-Rite is a little more user-friendly, but the Spyder Elite has better controls if working with multiple monitors, in my opinion. However, you'd be happy with either one.

I hear ya! I bought mine from overseas for the same reason. Thankfully I've never needed support or a return, but you're right, I would have been in some bother if I had.

Are you sure you need to photograph them? Scanning would be better, if you have a scanner.

Great! May I see?

I have no reason to think the profile is wrong. But you won't know for sure until you get the photo printed.

I've had great success with this method.

You'll find that one of the cooling filters (probably LBB) will work great for this.

You must must must do this.

Ok, now I need 100% crops from the problem areas of all these photos.
Please do the raw editing first, then take 100% crops from the SOORs.

If you can't find any with more of the railing and decking to the right, I fear this is a lost cause.

Do you feel that the light in your room is too yellow? The overhead bulbs, I mean? They certainly shouldn't be, 5500 should be great.

First I copied the existing end of the jeans and moved them down. Then I used a chunk of the other photo you provided (twice, actually) to fill in the space. Along the way I also used some Hue/Saturation layers to darken stuff.
Once I'd done all I could do with what I had, I used some cloning to fill in the remaining gaps.

This is the best I can offer, I'm afraid. Just to reduce the colour a little.
