IMac calibrating and adjusting brightness

Hi Damien I have an IMac and i am calibrating it again after not doing it for so long, but there is no way to adjust the brightness when prompted to do so. Do you know how I can adjust to get it close to the lines?

What?  You go to System Prefs > Displays, then move the brightness slider, don't you?

What I mean while i'm in the calibration, the whole screen is white and there is nothing else on the screen.

Thanks, I figured it out. Now I'm running into another problem. When i go to save my profile and name it the way you said to, I get an error, and this is what the error says" Error saving the profile to: /Library/Colorsync/profiles/native 100.icm  What should I do?

Maybe you need to have no space in the file name?  I'm not sure.

It lets me save if i check user level. It wont let me save if i check system level, will this work if i check user level?

I forgot to mention that right next to the system level, it says Not writable, do you happen to know what this means?

Yep, that's quite common.  User level is fine.
