Damien Symonds
Remember, if you want me to actually see, and opine on, your fine-detail work, you have to post 100% crops.

Damien Symonds
Good. So, have you cleaned up your Dad's photo too? Are they ready to combine?
EmmaBrett
yes Dad's all cleaned up too. They are all ready to combine.
Damien Symonds
Wonderful. Now go ahead and do your normal Levels work on each one, separately (of course, post them in the Levels Class if you need my feedback). Then post all three for me in this thread, and we'll discuss the combination.

Damien Symonds
Seeing them all together here, maybe your skin needs a bit of warming?
EmmaBrett
Not sure I have used the right tutorial used the "Painting on some skin". If it's not the right one could you point me in the right direction please.

EmmaBrett
I used the clone stamp tool to get rid of the fly away hairs.
Damien Symonds
I know. And I want to see it with that clone layer turned off.
EmmaBrett
I didn't use another layer to get rid of the flyaway hairs I removed them on my retouching layer.

EmmaBrett
Sorry I didn't know you were supposed to use the clone stamp tool on a new layer I was under the impression you did all your retouching on a copy of the background layer remove spots etc.
Damien Symonds
Spots, yes. Hair, HELL NO. Hair needs to be its own layer, so that you can mask: http://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/10/role-of-masks-when-cloning.html
