Damien Symonds Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 < Go back to the previous step << Go back to the beginning Part 3: Setup As soon as the software launches, go to Preferences: Set the Recal warning for “1 Month”. “Check for software updates” should be turned on by default. “Share calibration data” is up to you. Then click the “Advanced Settings” button: Here, everything should be fine. Use the "Advanced" interface, and leave the Delta warnings at 3.0. And your screen doesn't have individual RGB controls, so leave that checkbox turned off. Then go to "ICC Settings": At the time of writing this, Version 4 profiles are still not widely supported. Make sure yours is set to Version 2: Press OK a bunch of times to get back to the main welcome screen. Let's get started >>
Jessieeejo Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 I have accidently skipped this step, and I cant find where I can get back to the advanced settings to change these.
kaitlyn brodell Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 I received my SpyderX Elite today and followed the calibration instructions but this error pops up after multiple attempts. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software per their website, which didn't work. Then found the response you had previously posted about deleting the "Datacolor" but I can't seem to find it? I deleted Data and tried again but Datacolor wasn't there.

I did eventually find Datacolor in my applications to delete from there but I'm still getting all sorts of error messages. I've tried to go through the directions and repeat the steps quite a few times now and can't figure out what it is that I'm doing wrong.

One of the screenshots I included was of the display settings. One option is Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits) or Photography (P3- D65). I thought from the directions that I was meant to choose the D65 option but then it won't allow me to make any adjustment in brightness that I needed for calibration. Which should I select?
Damien Symonds Posted April 7, 2022 Author Posted April 7, 2022 It doesn't matter, because whatever you choose will be over-ridden by the calibration profile once you're finished. So just choose whichever one DOES allow you to adjust brightness.
