Lightroom not importing xmp next to raf

Hi there I just noticed that Lightroom has stopped importing my xmp files next to my raf files but instead is importing the raf and xmp in bulk together. just wondering if this will cause issues later or if its fine. Thanks

It looks like you're not viewing in filename order?

its weird how this has happened, i dont know how to change it back. im on a mac and havent changed anything in my import options.

does it matter that they are not next to eachother?

No. Just as long as they are together in the same folder. If you ever were to move the Raw file to a different folder, just be sure to move both the Raw file and XMP file together.

Right - Click and select "Sort By" Play around with the choices. You might want to select "Filename" at the top. How did it happen? You have a Laptop, with a stupid Trackpad. I'm sure something went screwy along the way and it changed how you view files. The problem is harmless, really. Just have to change things back.
