fwendly
New studio dress is showing a lot of moire. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Also, is it safe to assume this fabric will always cause this same issue when I photograph it? I am not sure if it is a fabric issue or a lighting and shooting issue. Thanks. I am not sure if it is a fabric issue or a lighting and shooting issue. Not EVERY time. But yes, the risk will always be there. If you were further away, or closer to, the dress when taking this photo, the moire might not have appeared. Moire is an effect which happens when the fabric pattern is about the same size and the pixels on your sensor.

Damien Symonds
Thanks. It's nasty. First, try the moire brush in ACR.

I am so bummed that it will be an issue. I will give that a try.
fwendly
The brush helped with the discoloration, but the pattern remains.

Damien Symonds
Different distances might help, but you'll never know which distances are going to work or not I'm saying lost cause.
